From 27th February to 3rd March 2023, was a week of Induction and Orientation for 700 new students admitted to study in different programs in the following sectors: Agricultural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, ICT and Hospitality Management. The theme of the week was "Being Successfull at Rwanda Polytechnic and Build your Future".

In his welcoming remarks during the official opening day, the Principal reminded students that skills alone will not bring them success unless combined with good behavior, discipline, commitment, self motivation, confidence, creativity, innovation spirit, good communication skills and so many other professional and social qualities.

During the week, registration process, academic rules and regulations, general student code of conduct, academic calendar, teaching timetables, student mentorship program  and other students’ support services were explained in details. New students also got time to interact with their adult (alumni), and other different guests on topics like Gender and Social Inclusion in TVET, Role of companies/industries in academic activities, savings, investment and  financial literacy in academic era, facing challenges with a smile and having a positive mindset, just to mention a few.

In his closing remarks on 3rd March 2023, the Principal encouraged new students to connect with the College, focus to the lessons, and do the right things they consider acceptable in the College.

The Induction and Orientation week helps new students to have a general overview the campus life, develop relationship with fellow students and academic staff, as they acknowledge human values to become responsible and successful students.
