The Principal of IPRC Huye solemnized the closing of Construction Technology Curriculum development workshop
On Thursday, July 30, 2020, The Principal of IPRC Huye Maj. Dr. TWABAGIRA Barnabe officially closed a 15-days workshop on competence-based curriculum development of Construction Technology for Diploma and a part for Advanced Diploma.
This workshop that held at IPRC Huye headquarters brought together various Civil engineers from different Integrated Polytechnic Regional Colleges (IPRCs) and companies’ experts across the Country, and a facilitator from Workforce Development Authority (WDA).
On behalf of Rwanda Polytechnic, The Principal of IPRC Huye Maj. Dr. TWABAGIRA Barnabe expressed his gratitude to all participants in this cheerful activity because the developed curriculum will be used in all IPRCs which have the option of Construction Technology.

MUTABAZI Augustin, an Assistant Lecturer from IPRC Gishari and one of participants in this workshop, praised IPRC Huye Management and staff in general for the good hospitality and best inputs that helped them to develop well this curriculum.
This curriculum development exercise emphasized on Two-Year TVET Diploma Curriculum to be implemented in the upcoming December, 2020 and the remaining parts of the One-Year TVET Advanced Diploma curriculum is expected to be developed next-year. During this workshop, all activities were carried out in three phases: Occupational analysis (DACUM Chart development and review), Competency standards development and Course structure, qualification design and assessment package development.
